A new monthly series on WAV where we put a spotlight on a WAV host to get to know them a bit better.

Introduce yourself in 3 lines

Kim (Isenkram): “Isenkram is a small music umbrella operating out of Copenhagen, Denmark. Under this umbrella you will find a broad variety of beauty.  Over this umbrella it reigns with a broad variety of bullshit.”

How long have you been doing the show on WAV now?

K: “We have done about 12 shows now. Our first show was broadcast december 2024.”

Describe the vibe of the show

K: “The shows aim to be highly entertaining with very different stylistic, diverse lyrical and musical themes. We try to fit in a lot of obscure Danish music every month. There is a lot of research. There is a lot going on. At times it can be demanding. At times it can be ridiculous. You might love one show and hate the next one, but that is precicely how we wish to operate. Everything is not for everybody.”

Best setting to listen to “Everything is Not For Everybody”

K: “Going from A to B. Going in and out of focus. Doing the dishes or driving at night.”

What makes someone a good radio host in your opinion

K: “Willingness to take chances. Standing by your musical taste. Diversity, curiousity, bravery, personality. ”

An album currently on high rotation:

K: “Bobby G: Bobby Business”. A really great album exploring a lot of genres but recorded exclusively on the Kawei DX900 organ from 1982.”

Impressive people outside of music

K: “Right now I have to say donald trump – he impresses the living shit out of me”

Plans for the future

K: “Loads of exciting releases on our label. The next ones will be hip hop / rap but also we are planning to remaster and re-release an obscure danish experimental group from the 80’s. We cant wait to share. AND we will be looking forward to keep
delivering hopefully interesting music radio to your ears on this great platform. We feel very various.”
