This show I’ll dive deep into JG Ballard’s The Drowned World.
Some 120 years into the future, biologists Kerans sets out to document the species now living in the tropical swamp that was once London. It doesn’t seem however that anyone back in Greenland, where most of human civilization has retreated, is too interested in his reports. Kerans and the people around him start having strange dreams and slowly retreat further and further into their own feverish visions. Barely saved by the army from an attack by a group of pirates, instead of heading back north after the expedition Kerans escapes his superiors and ventures further south. Through the increasing rain and heat, attacked by alligators and giant bats, a second Adam searching for the forgotten paradises of the reborn Sun.
