We Are Various en Het Bos versmelten deze herfst hun Bubbels. Vanaf 23 september tot eind november zal WAV elke woensdagavond vrolijk blaffen in Het Bos, onderwijl de limieten van zijn Bosbubbel afsnuffelend. De radio zal die avond een vrolijke mix brengen van de vaste WAV radio gastvrouwen- en heren, én shows van de deelnemers van het Bosbubbles project of over andere projecten en evenementen die die week doorgaan in Het Bos.

Van 14 tot 18 oktober organiseert de filosofische organisatie Troebel het allereerste ‘Klimaatfestival Antwerpen’ in Het Bos. Kunnen cultuur en filosofie bijdragen aan een groene toekomst? “Met dit festival willen we mensen laten stilstaan bij de complexiteit van de klimaatproblematiek, maar zonder te verlammen. We willen inspireren om mee na te denken over oplossingen en een kritische houding aanmoedigen”, zegt Maïté de Haan van Troebel.
In deze eerste editie van het festival staat ‘verbeelding’ centraal. Verbeelding wordt op twee manieren gebruikt. Enerzijds wordt de klimaatverandering ver-beeld. Door middel van tentoonstellingen en installaties wordt de klimaatproblematiek in beelden gevangen. Anderzijds wordt de verbeeldingskracht gestimuleerd door workshops, podcast-afleveringen, films en meer.
Dat het festival de diversiteit van de problematiek onder de aandacht wil brengen, zien we in de uiteenlopende thema’s die aan bod komen: klimaatmigratie, biodiversiteit, eco-racisme, voeding, circulaire economie en vliegreizen zijn slechts een greep uit het programma.
Klimaatfestival Antwerpen gaat door van 14 tot en met 18 oktober 2020 in Het Bos in Antwerpen en is volledig gratis. Iedereen is welkom! Bezoekers kunnen vanaf 23 september een ticket reserveren.

This autumn, We Are Various and Het Bos will merge their Bubbels. From September 23 until the end of November, WAV Radio will reside every Wednesday evening in the Bosbubble, bringing a jolly mix of shows from resident WAV hosts and from participants of the Bosbubbles project or other projects and events that take place that week at Het Bos.

From 14 to 18 October, the philosophical organisation Troebel is organising the very first “Climate Festival Antwerp” at Het Bos. Can culture and philosophy contribute to a green future? “With this festival we want people to reflect on the complexity of the climate problem, but without paralyzing it. We want to inspire you to think about solutions and encourage a critical attitude ”, says Maïté de Haan of Troebel.
In this first edition of the festival, “imagination” is central. Imagination is used in two ways. On the one hand, the climate problem is captured in images by means of exhibitions and installations. On the other hand, the imagination is stimulated by workshops, podcasts, movies and more.
The festival wants to draw attention to the diversity of the problem by addressing various themes: climate migration, biodiversity, eco-racism, food, circular economy and air travel are just a few on the program.
Klimaatfestival Antwerpen will take place from 14 to 18 October 2020 in Het Bos in Antwerp and is completely free. Everyone is welcome! Visitors can reserve a ticket from 23 September.
